With this year’s edition of sanctioning swimming we have an almost equal amount of participation or as best as we can get, and because of this adding a male volleyball team would be a great addition to the Boise High School tradition we can also like our ultimate frisbee team who is one of the best in the northwest we could possibly get a co-ed team even club would work. Boise High School has some of the most participation in Idaho in extracurricular activity so why not add volleyball? Adding boys volley would also allow us to be able to add another female sport or in general sport like lacrosse which is one of the most joined sport the past year increasing popularity. Not only would the addition of boys volleyball increase participation it would allow us to have even more participation from around the valley, but before we can do that we have to offer an equal opportunity with the addition of swimming then adding boys volleyball would be equal, do we have the number of students to play.

    Forty Six Percent of States have a Boys Volleyball team and hundreds of male volleyball programs are around in the nation so why limit students from the opportunity to have a free education. Volleyball there are a total of 46 million people who play a game of volleyball weekly in the united states that is a huge amount for a country with 300 million people not only that, but 900 Million participate weekly around the world, but how much would that grow if not only the Boise schools but around u.s 54% more Men would have an opportunity to play and unlike some more expensive sports, like golf and tennis all you need is a pair of shorts and shoes and yet we still somehow can’t afford to have one. This is the 5th most popular sport in the united states and with the discretion in sports like football, baseball, and hockey this could really get active participation and I believe could become the most popular sport in the United States, but it is currently behind tennis by 100 million participants, and with this boost could top tennis with in a few years!
