After weeks of gossip and speculations, it seems like rumors have been confirmed. Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s relationship has taken the media by storm. Everyone is dying to know what is happening between the football star and national superstar, but here are some of the facts we have so far.
The rumors started back in July, when Kelce had mentioned on his podcast, New Heights, that he had attended her concert in Kansas City. He had said that he was disappointed that he wasn’t able to talk to her before the concert because he wanted to give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number on it. Rumors about their relationship continued, but nothing had been confirmed.
Following that, more rumors went around that the two had hung out in New York and had been texting each other. However, it wasn’t until her first appearance on the bleachers at his game that many believed the relationship was confirmed. On September 24th, Taylor was spotted at the Chiefs game sitting in Travis’s suite alongside his mom, Donna. The two were then spotted walking out and driving away with each other after the game.
After her appearance at the game, Travis talked about it on his podcast with his brother. He said, “Shout out to Taylor for pulling up. That was pretty ballsy.” He also explained that everyone enjoyed her company in the suite and had nothing but nice things to say. Rumors also started that she might be attending the Chiefs next game against the Jets. So much so, that tickets to the game skyrocketed, prices increasing by almost 40%.
Those rumors were confirmed the following weekend when Taylor did it all again, pulling up to MetLife Stadium for their game against the Jets. She was spotted again sitting next to Donna, as well as other celebrities including Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. Fans and the media went crazy again, posting it everywhere.
The media had a lot to say, but maybe even more than warranted. A few days after Taylor’s second appearance, Travis went onto his podcast talking about how he and his brother think there might be a little too much coverage on the subject. He says, “They’re overdoing it a little bit for sure, especially my situation. But, I think they are just having fun with it.” In response to this, the NFL explained that the two of them being together is a big pop culture moment and they like making content about what’s happening in and around their games.
Although Taylor wasn’t able to make it to the Chiefs’ game against the Vikings, it’ll be interesting to see what other appearances she will make and where the two take their relationship.
