Dumping snow, or all the snow melting, and leaves growing on the trees with the flowers blooming. As the weather warms, there are so many things you can do during spring break in Boise. Consider this your guide for spring break in Boise.
There are many perks to staying home during the upcoming spring break. One of my personal favorite places to go during break is the Wahooz Family Fun Zone. Wahooz is a fun entertainment center that offers many fun activities. Inside the building, you can go on a ride like the Tilt-a-Whirl, or you can play a game of laser tag in a dark arena which was renovated in 2022. You can test your speed and agility skills in the laser maze or ropes course or play a game of bumper cars. There is also a section of the building dedicated to a large arcade, where you can play ski ball, air hockey, spin zone, and many more fun games. Outside, the experiences include go kart racing, bumper boats, and 2 different mini golf courses. Wahooz is a fun place to go with your friends or family and will entertain all ages.
Another place you could go to is only a 45-minute drive from downtown Boise: Bogus Basin. They are known for being a year-round outdoor recreation center. If it is still snowing, you could do some spring skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing, or cross-country skiing. But if all of the snow has melted, Bogus is a great place to get on your mountain bike and ride on their stunning trails or even hike them. Bogus is another amazing place that is friendly for all ages, and with friends or family. Down the mountain, there are very popular places for BHS students, such as Camel’s Back Park and Hyde Park. At Camel’s Back, you can hike and get lost in the trails, which, if you go down the right path, could lead you straight to the greenbelt, a great scenic walking route with winds all around downtown Boise. There is a big playground that is surrounded by grass, which could be used for frisbee and soccer. There is a tennis court and a sand volleyball court right by the big field. Hyde Park, a historic neighborhood in the North End is also a fun destination. In Hyde, you can find a handful of delicious restaurants, coffee shops, and a conjoined toy and candy store. It is a good place to wander if you’re bored during your spring break. Whether you decide to take the scenic or adventurous route, staying in Boise for spring break can still be fun.
