Cobra Kai is a very popular show set after the famous movie Karate Kid. It is very well loved, but sadly, on February 13, the last 5 episodes came out. It is safe to say, it is a masterpiece.

Cobra Kai’s first season came out on May 2nd, 2018, and there are now 6 seasons. If you’ve seen any of the shows, you know that it is set around 30 years after the original movies that first came out in 1984. The main characters, who were teenagers in the movies, are now the parents of the kids in Cobra Kai. It has many references to the movies and if you loved the movies you will love to hear the old characters talk and have karate battles.

Season 1-4 of Cobra Kai follows Johnny Lawerence and Daniel LaRusso, as they teach rival karate dojos Cobra Kai (Lawrence) and Miyagi-Do (LaRusso). This entire show follows the lives of Robby who is Johnny’s son, Sam who is Daniel’s daughter, and many other characters like Miguel and Tory. Johnny’s son gets involved with Cobra Kai, but is faced with a rival, Miguel, and they fight at the high school karate tournament where Robby wins.

With many twists and turns, the next 3 seasons have many antagonists including John Kreese, and Terry Silver, harsh and violent karate teachers. Eventually in season 5, Johnny, originally the leader of Cobra Kai, joins Miyagi Do and he and Daniel have to find a way to work together and join their different ways of fighting. There are many ups and downs with family, friends, and karate, but the 5th season ends with the downfall of Cobra Kai which is now under the reign of Terry Silver. Not knowing what the future was gonna be for the dojo’s left the fans wanting more.

Part 1, 2, and 3 of Cobra Kai season 6 were released July 18, November 15, and February 13, with each release having 5 episodes. The season opens with Johnny and Daniel training and preparing for the Sekai Taikai, a karate competition, while a previous enemy, Terry Silver, comes back into the picture. New developments include Miguel’s mom dating Johnny and getting pregnant, and also follows Tory and her family who are affected by her mom having cancer. At Miyagi Do, Daniel discovers some of his former mentors’ belongings, causing confusion and questions that most likely cannot be answered. Then, Miyagi Do travels to Barcelona to compete in the Sekai Taikai. We won’t spoil the entire new season, but the end of the show was really good, and even though it was a long show, it was absolutely worth it.

If you want a fun, action-packed and motivational show, we 10/10 recommend watching it all. Watching the new season was definitely worth it.
