The seasons are changing and fall is finally upon us, which means Halloween is coming with it. Houses have started to decorate their lawns and this spooky holiday is almost here. Looking for something to get you in the halloween spirit? Here are a few fun and frightening attractions in and around Boise that should be all you need to get in the holiday mood.
Most people have heard of the famous Haunted World, supposedly the scariest attraction in Idaho. It is the largest haunted house in the state and is about two hours long. The attraction takes you through a 35 acre cornfield and hostel asylum, filled with jump scares and more. It is open from dusk to 10pm on weekdays and dusk to 12pm on weekends, running until October 31st.
If you have already been to Haunted World but are looking for a haunted house, Requiem Haunted House is for you. Located in downtown Caldwell, this attraction is one of the newest haunted houses in the Treasure Valley. It is completely indoors and is three stories full of terror. Rated the top 2019 attraction, the house is open the 24th-28th, 30th, and 31st, from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.
Looking for something closer than Caldwell and Nampa? There is a haunted house right here in Boise, Psycho Circus at Cimarron. Located off of Cole road, this attraction is run by a family who loves the thrill of scaring. The house is themed off of a circus gone wrong, with carnival music, flashing lights and more. The best part is, it’s completely free. Go visit either October 27th or Halloween night.
If you’re wanting to get into the fall spirit, but not wanting something as scary as a haunted house, Farmstead is for you. With over twenty different fall themed attractions, Lowe’s Family Farmstead has something for everyone. One of the most famous parts is the corn maze, a thirteen acre patch of corn that they turn into a maze with a different design every year. This year’s theme is “Land that I Love!” The farm is located in Kuna and is open until October 30th.
These are just some of the many fall-themed activities that capture the spirit of the season. The Treasure Valley offers so many thrilling experiences, so be sure to embrace the thrill before November rolls around.
