This month’s unique cover was created by Presly Braun, a Senior here at Boise High. For October we were hoping to find a spooky cover in relation to Halloween, I was excited to find a perfect match. The drawing is of a woman’s face “wrapped around” a finger. Presly was inspired by the song Linger by The Cranberries and drew this image. In the lyrics it says “you got me wrapped around your finger” and she wanted to illustrate it in a drawing by
literally having someone wrapped around a finger. I think it embodies that idea perfectly and was drawn beautifully.
Presly is currently in AP art. She loves the creative freedom that comes along with the subject. You can’t necessarily make mistakes in art, that’s what the beauty of it is. If you
wanted to make tree’s purple in your art, no one can stop you. In art you can do whatever you want because it’s your creativity that you put in your pieces.
Outside of art, Presly enjoys skiing, going on hikes, and hanging out with her friends. She
mainly just does art for fun and doesn’t plan on pursuing it any further unless the opportunity arises for her after high school but still plans on continuing her creative journey outside of school.
