Now that the fall season is coming to an end, the winter sports season is beginning, here are some of the sports for the winter.
Boise Brave has three main winter sports: boys and girls basketball, wrestling, and the Brave snow team. If you want to show up for one of the basketball games, wrestling matches or snow team races, the players would love the support.
If you want to join the snow team, contact Ms. Becerra, Mr. Stan, or Mr. Arnold. You can choose between alpine, freestyle, nordic, or snowboard, and it’s four levels in each event. They have six races this season and the highlight of being on the BBST is the day they go to Sun Valley! There are a variety of skill levels, so if you want to learn something new or improve your skills, it’s easy to join the team. They also need more people, because the more participants in the race the easier it is to win, it’s the same as cross country.
The girls basketball team has the Sophomore, JV, and Varsity team ready and they all have a lot of games ahead of them. The first game was on November 10th against Capital. The two most exciting games are December 16th, the game against Meridian with an ugly sweater theme, and the pink out game against Owyhee on January 19th. Both games are home games, so come out and support the Lady Brave!
Boys basketball team had tryouts on November 10th, and the boys are ready for a good season. A lot of the boys have already played some basketball this season, and they have a lot of good games ahead of them.
Wrestling had their first practice November 13th, and is ready for a good season with some new and senior wrestlers. All of them are ready to increase the number of State medals, and they have been wrestling a lot off-season to get ready to take it home.
The Boise Brave are ready for this winter with all of the different sports Boise High offers, and plan to take a lot of medals home. The tryouts for basketball are already done, but you can still join the wrestling team or snow team for just $20. Be Brave and get ready for the season!
