In 2019, Lori Vallow Daybell’s children Tylee and Joshua were reported missing, sparking the start of a mystery. It wasn’t until a year later that their bodies were found in Rexburg, Idaho on Chad Daybell’s property. Lori Vallow had already been found guilty and given life sentences for the murder of her two children and conspiracy to the murder of Tammy Daybell. The couple was originally scheduled to stand trial together but Chad’s attorney asked for the case to be split. Four years later, Chad Daybell’s trial begins.
This trial is said to last up to ten weeks, also being charged for the deaths of Tylee, Joshua, and his first wife Tammy. Daybell is pleading not guilty and wants to tell his story. His attorney John Prior claimed “Our version of the facts of this case will differ greatly from what Ms. Vallow and her legal counsel are going to be presenting.” If found guilty, it’s likely to end with the death penalty.
In Lori Vallow’s trial, witnesses testified that she and Chad Daybell participated in strange religious beliefs. Claiming people had been replaced by evil spirits referred to as “zombies” and the only way to destroy these zombies was to kill them. It’s said that they thought their children were zombies, leading to their murder.
The story of these cases began fall of 2019 and had taken several grim and unexpected turns after investigating through several states. Lori and Chad’s spouses both died coincidentally while the two were participating in an affair, making people sceptical on the shoking couicidence.
