Trump’s 2025-2029 presidency has been a whirlwind of executive orders about everything from trans rights to oil drilling to defunding various branches of government. He has passed 70 different executive orders.
He has made executive orders in 10 different categories: foreign policies, reshaping the federal government, immigration, finance/tech, energy/climate, declaring holidays, trans rights, and education. Here is a summary of what he is doing for each category:
Foreign policies: Trump has made many tariff threats and has mentiond attempting to annex Canada and Greenland. also saying if sucsesful with Greenland he will change the name to Red, White, and Blueland. He has floated the idea of converting Gaza into a luxury resort for vacations.
Reshaping the federal government: he has eliminated DEI offices, reshaped the federal workforce, and is actively eliminating funding from many government programs.
Immigration: Trump is trying to eliminate birthright citizenship, has made ICE detain millions of immigrants. He has made plans to put said immigrants in Guantanamo Bay.
Finance/Tech: Trump has revoked all of Biden’s AI guard rails. The guard rails that attempt regulate the yet unknown consequences of AI. Climate/energy: Trump has upped oil pumping exponentially. With his “Drill Baby Drill” order. He is also reversing many alternative energy programs set by Biden.
Holidays: Trump has declared the flag to be flown at full staff every inauguration day due to the fact that the flag was flown at half staff for his inauguration day due to the death of former president Jimmy Carter, Trump also has declared February 9th as “Gulf of America Day” .
DEI: Trump has revoked many laws that have made it so people can’t fire their workers or pay them less due to race, gender or sexuality.
Trans rights: Trump has stated that we will only recognize 2 genders and has worked to eliminate gender affirming healthcare.
Education: He has ended vaccine mandates and has expressed interest in lowering funding of public education by giving giant tax breaks for parents enrolling their students in private education. This increase may lower enrollment in public schools, witch can allow the goverment to allocate funds to those private schoools.
In conclusion, Trump has been very busy this term so far and has many plans for the future. whether you agree with him or not, we all can agree he has changed a lot of the USA’s government.
