As of Thursday, September 9th, the regular NFL season has officially started. It kicked off in Florida with the Dallas Cowboys versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the Super Bowl 55 champions. As the season continues, here’s a rundown of some games you want to look out for.

Week 3: September 27th- Dallas Cowboys v.s. Philadelphia Eagles: The Philadelphia Eagles and the Dallas Cowboys have had one of the longest and most intense rivalries in the NFL. The last time these two teams met was in Dallas on Sunday, December 7th, 2020. Dallas won the game with a 20 point lead over the Eagles. However, this year it could go in many different directions. The game will be played at AT&T Stadium, on a Monday night, making it even more of a thrilling game.

Week 4: October 3rd- Tampa Bay Buccaneers v.s. New England Patriots: This game is going to be exciting for many reasons. The number one reason is that it’s Bill Belicheck versus Tom Brady. Tom Brady carried the Patriots, coached by Belicheck, from 2001-2019. They were one of the most iconic coach/quarterback duos, who claimed 6 Superbowl titles for New England. Last year, Tom Brady started for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and helped them claim their second Super Bowl title. He has now won 7 Super Bowls, which is more than any team in the league. The game will be played at Brady’s old home field in Massachusetts.

Week 5: October 10th- Buffalo Bills v.s. Kansas City Chiefs: Last year, these two teams met in the AFC championship game. These two teams are some of the best in the AFC and both are strong competitors for this year’s Super Bowl. The final score of the championship game was 38-24, and the Chiefs went onto the Super Bowl for their second year in a row. However, Josh Allen has a chance to get redemption and beat Patrick Mahomes with the rest of the Chiefs. Both teams have great defenses and offenses, making it a great game no matter which team you are rooting for.

Week 6: October 17th- Green Bay Packers v.s. Chicago Bears: Any game where the Packers play the Bears is a great game. The Packers and Bears are two of the oldest teams in the league with one of the most extreme rivalries. It will be Chicago’s rookie quarterback, Justin Fields’, first game against the Packers. Last season, the Packer’s won both games against the Bears, but with Chicago’s off-season addition, that could change this year. The game will be played in Chicago, at Soldier Field.

Week 7: October 24th- Detroit Lions v.s. Los Angeles Rams- This game is Mathew Stafford versus Jared Goff. During the offseason, quarterback Mathew Stafford was traded to the Rams, in exchange for Jared Goff and a few other picks. It will be a revenge week for both of the quarterbacks. The game will be played in Goff’s old stadium, SoFi Stadium. Although the game won’t be won by what quarterback passes better, it will be interesting to see who comes out victorious.
