Ella Fearnside, a Senior at Boise High, created our cover for the Boise Highlights November issue. Our theme for this issue is “honest gratitude”. The artwork Ella came up with, shows the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York City.

This parade represents to many people the start of the holiday season, which we also recognize as the giving season. This cover art uniquely represents the theme due to it being a broad interpretation of honest gratitude and a popular sight amongst Americans in the month of November.

Ella is a tremendously talented artist who has been practicing her craft for many years. She has grown up in a very artistic environment that has allowed her to be creative and color outside of the lines.

She loves all different types of art, but her most favored is architectural design and drawing. Ella plans to study architecture somewhere on the East Coast, hopefully in New York or Chicago.

You can almost always find Ella doodling or creating masterpieces in all of her classes, especially her AP Art class here at Boise High.

Ella is an all in or nothing type of person, so the art she produces is above and beyond. So much detail and time is put into every piece of work she does, clearly shown by the cover of this issue.
